It's very healthy to spend time alone. You need to know how to be alone and not be defined by another person.
If we are never willing to spend any time alone, then we aren't willing to get an accurate representation of who we are on a regular basis. To make it in this life we have to be willing to reflect upon our days and we have to be willing to decide with ourselves what moves we will make next. Sure it is very helpful to have people around who do have your best interests in mind, but if we don't ever really know what we want, there is no possible way to move forward in the life in the direction we want to, if we don't even know what direction we want to move in.
